Outward focus turns everyday acts of kindness, courage and contribution into a legacy that can change lives for generations.
In this special episode of the PSI Podcast, hosts Tim Bowen and Mackenzie O’Kelley connect with Kathy Quinlan-Perez from the first annual Camp Choice Alberta.
Kathy shares how Camp Choice began more than 30 years ago after she read about a community outreach program created by the San Francisco Police Department. What started as an idea to give young people a safe and supportive experience grew into a lasting movement built on leadership, teamwork, trust, respect, courage and commitment.
Together, Kathy, Tim and Mackenzie explore what it means to focus outward, recognize what you have to contribute and use your life to leave a meaningful mark. You’ll hear powerful stories about young people discovering their courage, former campers returning to serve and one person’s commitment inspiring others to carry the mission into new communities.
This conversation is a reminder that you do not need a large platform or a perfect plan to make a difference. You can begin in your own home, your relationships and the ordinary moments when another person needs kindness, encouragement or someone who believes in them.
